This isn't your standard salty-sour margarita. It’s much more lush and layered. We’ve used Myrlèmon to bridge the gap between the earthy, grounded agave of the tequila and the bright sweetness of pineapple and passionfruit. It’s a drink that feels light, tropical, and tastes like a long afternoon on a hidden beach.
Ingredients
| 30ml |
Premium Tequila (Silver or Reposado works best) |
| 15ml | Myrlèmon |
| 30ml | Pineapple Juice |
| A splash |
Fresh Passionfruit (pulp and seeds) |
Garnish
-
A salt-rimmed glass and a fresh lemon myrtle leaf (or a passionfruit half).
The Serve
-
The Glass: Prep a rocks glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in sea salt. Fill it with fresh, solid ice.
-
The Build: Add the tequila, Myrlèmon, pineapple juice, and passionfruit into a shaker.
-
The Shake: Add plenty of ice and shake hard for about 15 seconds. The pineapple juice needs that energy to create a nice, frothy texture.
-
The Pour: Strain it directly over the fresh ice in your salted glass.
The Experience
-
The Visual: The pineapple gives the drink a beautiful golden glow and a soft, velvety foam on top.
-
The Scent: It’s an immediate hit of the tropics. The passionfruit and lemon myrtle work together to create an aroma that’s both fruity and botanical.
-
The Taste: It’s a perfect balance. You get the initial kick of the tequila, followed by the sweetness of the fruit, and finally a clean, aromatic finish that doesn't leave you with that sticky-sweet feeling.
Sun-drenched, vibrant, and entirely coastal.
